Negotino—Macedonia.

I decided to visit a small town south of Skopje called Negotino here in Macedonia just east of Prilep on the map. It isn’t a place travelers visit; there is only two hotels in town, but in the summer there resides a big pool that people from around the country visit on their holiday.

The hotel I am staying at is only 20 Euro, but from the countries I have traveled this hotel would be considered a 4 star hotel. I am staying for two nights because of the fast Internet; I have a few things to accomplish.

The only thing there is to see is a Monastery built in the 14th century and, of course, dedicated to St. George—the deceptive “Saint” that rules orthodox christianity.

There is a small museum of artifacts dating back to the 11 century BCE in the town.

The three domes represent the trinity, yet this trinity really symbolizes the three leaders of the lower entities.

Macedonia is a very beautiful country, and the people are friendly. From my observation they don’t carry the negative mind-set as in Bulgaria, and they really don’t mind working. However, in Bulgaria people never viewed me as money and very rarely charged me more that the local price. Here in Macedonia some kids in this small town asked for money.

Tomorrow I will be heading to a mountain town with very old buildings and then more south.

I am glad that you are liking Macedonia. I have a good friend at my old work from there. She has always told me that I should go. I hear you about the fast Internet. We always stay an extra day or two when we find a good wifi.
Looking forward to following your travels now that you have moved on!

Sounds like a cool little town, I've always fancied visiting Macedonia. How did you mean about the negative attitude in Bulgaria? Admittedly it's a few years since I visited but I found the people I met when I was there very friendly.

Hey Dave and Deb, Macedonia is very nice and cheap to travel, nice people, good taste in music. Overall a well worth country to visit.

Hey Tom, well the negative attitude in Bulgaria is noticeable after you stay awhile. Even my Bulgarian friends would comment. That is one of the first things Boris (my best friend) commented on when I arrived.

Although, people are very nice and friendly, it can be hidden the negativity.
